A woman who worked as a records contractor for the federal government has been arrested on charges of turning over a secret document to a news organization, the first arrest of an alleged leaker by the Trump administration. The woman, Reality Leigh Winner, 25, of Augusta, Ga., was arrested over the weekend, the Justice Department said Monday. According to an affidavit, Winner admitted providing the document to a news organization. Although the document and the media company were not identified in the affidavit, the announcement of the arrest came just hours after the Intercept published a National Security Agency analysis that concluded that Russian hackers were able to penetrate an American technology company that works with voter data.
