Greg Gianforte, the newly elected Montana House Republican who "body slammed" the Guardian journalist Ben Jacobs just a day before his election, has issued a full apology and agreed to donate $50,000 to the Committee to Protect Journalists, The Guardian reported Wednesday.
The donation and a formal apology letter sent to Jacobs to settle potential civil claims.

Why do people vote for political terrorists like Gianforte?
He should be impeached for committing a crime of assault.
Gianforte should be charged and prosecuted under U.S. law. Why are the Congress people above the law? It is true that rich people follow a different law from the ordinary people.
The resolution, approved by the House Foreign Affairs Committee, calls for "any Turkish security official who directed or participated in efforts by Turkish security forces to suppress peaceful protests outside of the Turkish ambassador's residence" to be charged and prosecuted under U.S. law. The measure also tracks with the senators' demands that the State Department seek waivers of immunity for any Turkish security detail members who engaged in assault.
