The clock for Trump’s departure from the White House has been set. Trump, who has been playing fast and loose with his new position, has quite a few marks against is reputation as president. Most notably is the president’s administrations ties to Russia. Mike Flynn was the first to be investigated by the FBI for a working as a paid lobbyist for Turkey, during the Trump campaign. Despite this, he was still hired as Donald Trump’s national security advisor, although former attorney general Sally Yates warned the White House that Flynn might be susceptible to blackmail by the Russians for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the actual nature of Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador to Washington. Trump then tried to halt the FBI’s investigation into Mike Flynn, resulting in the president’s own investigation into obstruction of justice.
