Declassified CIA Document Reveals Iraq War Had Zero Justification https://t.co/8LXXwshuQq— LiberalTexasDem (@LiberalTexasDem) July 14, 2017
he justification for going to war in Iraq thirteen years ago, was based on a 93-page classified document that allegedly contained “specific information” on former Iraqi leader President Saddam Hussein and the weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs he was apparently running. Now that document has been declassified and it reveals that there was virtually zero justification for the Iraq war. The document reveals that there was “no operational tie between Saddam and al Qaeda” and no WMD programs. The report reveals that the intelligence community and the US Department of Energy did not think Saddam was pursuing any type of WMD program, and was instead developing rocket motors.

Although it's of no consolation Iraqi war veterans might take some comfort in knowing that war wasn't the first the nation was "lied into". Understanding and ackknowledging the lies that sent me to Vietnam has not made me as bitter as it has aware of the lemgths to which the wealthy and powerful will go to increase and protect their wealth and position. There are in this nation and every nation those whose allegiance is not to the nations in which they live, rather the global opportunities to sacrifice the lives of others at their altars of war.Don't Tweet?
